海口市人民醫(yī)院是集醫(yī)療、教學(xué)、科研、預(yù)防、保健和康復(fù)為一體的三級甲等綜合醫(yī)院，1997年被衛(wèi)生部評為三級甲等醫(yī)院，2003年成為中南大學(xué)湘雅醫(yī)學(xué)院附屬海口醫(yī)院，2020年成為中南大學(xué)湘雅醫(yī)學(xué)院海口臨床學(xué)院。在2022年國家三級公立醫(yī)院績效考核中，全國綜合醫(yī)院排名第228位、海南省排名第2位，國考等級：A級。
醫(yī)院占地面積約230畝，業(yè)務(wù)用房總面積23萬多平方米，設(shè)備總值13.11億元人民幣，總資產(chǎn)約44.26億元人民幣。編制床位1700張，實際開放床位1868張，有42個臨床科室、10個醫(yī)技科室和7個綜合門診部。年門急診病人130萬人次、年出院病人6.6萬人次。現(xiàn)有職工3139人，專業(yè)技術(shù)人員占94.8%，其中高級專業(yè)技術(shù)人員640名、中級專業(yè)技術(shù)人員1653名；享受國務(wù)院特殊津貼專家6人，海南省優(yōu)秀專家15人，海南省領(lǐng)軍人才11人，海南省拔尖人才78人；研究生以上學(xué)歷460人。為中南大學(xué)碩士和博士研究生培養(yǎng)點，有博士生導(dǎo)師11人、碩士生導(dǎo)師50人，2007年起納入教育部統(tǒng)招計劃面向全國招收研究生。

醫(yī)院擁有大量高端醫(yī)學(xué)裝備，其中達(dá)到國際先進(jìn)水平的有：達(dá)芬奇手術(shù)機(jī)器人、高強(qiáng)度聚焦超聲治療系統(tǒng)、雙C臂數(shù)字平板血管造影系統(tǒng)(百級凈化復(fù)合手術(shù)間)、PET-CT、雙源CT、256排CT、3.0T磁共振成像系統(tǒng)、電子直線加速器等。

Haikou Affiliated Hospital of Central South University Xiangya School of Medicine Introduction
Haikou People's Hospital is a comprehensive Class A tertiary hospital integrating clinical care, medical education, scientific research, wellness and preventive medicine, rehabilitative medicine, and serves as a regional medical center for Hainan Province’s northern region. Haikou People’s Hospital was accredited as a Class A tertiary hospital in 1997, then became the Haikou Affiliated Hospital of Xiangya School of Medicine in 2003. In 2020, it became the Haikou Clinical Teaching Hospital of Central South University Xiangya School of Medicine. Haikou People’s Hospital achieved an A Level evaluation and ranked 228th nationwide in the 2022 National Tertiary Public Hospital Performance Appraisal, 2nd best among public hospitals in Hainan.
The hospital covers an area of 230 acres, with a total area of 220,000 square meters of medical buildings, with equipment valued at approximately 1.311 billion yuan, and total assets of 4.426 billion yuan. The hospital has 1700 beds with capacity for 1868 beds, 42 clinical departments, 10 ancillary departments, and 7 comprehensive outpatient clinics/community healthcare centers. The hospital has exceeded an annual volume of 66,000 hospitalizations, 1.3 million visits to outpatient and emergency departments. Of more than 3,139 employees, more than 94.8% are health professionals, including 640 physicians with senior professional titles, and 1,653 with intermediate professional titles. The hospital now has 6 State Council specially-subsidized experts, 15 Hainan Province Outstanding Experts, 11 Hainan Province Leading Talents, and 78 Hainan Province Outstanding Talents. 460 have master’s degree or above. As a training site for Central South University master's and doctoral degree students, there are 11 doctoral degree supervisors and 50 master’s degree supervisors. The hospital has a full array of advanced equipment, including the internationally renowned da Vinci Surgical System, High-intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), Double C-Arm Digital Subtraction Angiography System (a 100-level Purification Hybrid Operating Room), PET-CT, dual-source CT, 256-slice CT, 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging system, cardiovascular imaging system, an electron linear accelerator, and so forth.
